Harajuku, founded by Japanese entrepreneur and chef Kaori and her husband Keith Simpson, began their journey as a modest street food stall nestled in the heart of Edinburgh. Now evolved into a celebrated and multi-award-winning restaurant, Harajuku has become an integral part of the Edinburgh foodie scene.
With roots extending to her Samurai great-grandfather’s distinguished fine dining restaurant in Fukuoka, Kaori draws inspiration from three generations of cherished family recipes. Now with a strong team whom equally share the passion of Japanese food, Harajuku are injecting the very essence of Tokyo into their dishes served at Edinburgh Street Food. That includes their modern twist of Sushi Burritos and Hot Rice Bowls (Danburi).
